Reorder PDF pages
Put the pages of a PDF in the right order. Every page shows as a thumbnail you can move one place at a time, drag with the mouse, or flip all at once with Reverse order. The new PDF is made in your browser, so your file is never uploaded.
How to reorder PDF pages
Reorder PDF pages online without uploading
Pages end up in the wrong order all the time. A scanner feeds a stack upside down, a report gets its summary at the back, or two copies of a form are saved with the pages mixed up. This tool lets you rearrange the pages of a PDF while you look at them. Drop the file and every page appears as a thumbnail with its original page number, in the order it has now.
Everything happens in your browser. The PDF is read from your device, the thumbnails are drawn there, and the reordered file is built there too, so nothing is uploaded. You can rearrange one PDF at a time, up to 60 MB and 300 pages, and the thumbnails appear one by one, so a long document stays usable while it loads.
How to rearrange pages in a PDF
Each page has a left and a right arrow. The left arrow moves it one place back, towards the start of the document, and the right arrow one place forward. To move a page a long way on a computer, drag it with the mouse and drop it on the card where it should go; the pages in between shift to make room. On a phone, the arrows do the same job.
The number under each thumbnail is the page number in the original file, and it stays with the page when you move it. That makes it easy to check the new order against a list, for example 3, 1, 2. The first page of the grid becomes page 1 of the new PDF.
While you are at it, the same cards let you turn a sideways page with ⟳, a quarter turn clockwise each time, and remove a page with ✕. A removed page stays faded in the grid with a Restore button until you save.
Reverse the page order of a PDF
Reverse order, above the grid, flips the whole document in one click: the last page becomes the first and the first becomes the last. This is the quick fix for a stack that was scanned from the back. Press it again to go back. Reversing only changes the order: pages you turned stay turned, and pages you deleted stay deleted. After reversing you can still move single pages with the arrows.
Save the reordered PDF
Press Save PDF to build the new file. It has the pages in the order of the grid and is named after the original with -organized added, so scan.pdf becomes scan-organized.pdf. Its size is shown before you download it, and the original file stays as it was.
The pages are copied, not redrawn, so text can still be selected and searched, images keep their quality and every page keeps its size. The list of bookmarks that some long PDFs show in the sidebar is not carried over to the new file. A PDF that needs a password to open has to have the password removed first.
To bring pages from another file into the order, combine the files with merge PDF and reorder the result here. To keep only part of the document, split PDF saves a page range as a new file.
