Compress a PDF online
Big PDFs are usually big because of the photos and scans inside them. Squishly re-encodes those images at a smaller size while leaving text, vector graphics and layout exactly as they are. Pick a level, drop the file, and it compresses on your device.

Frequently asked questions
How much smaller will my PDF get?
It depends on what is inside. Scans and photo-heavy PDFs often shrink 50-80%. A PDF that is mostly text has little to compress and may stay nearly the same size.
Will the text become blurry?
No. Text and vector graphics are not touched at all. Only embedded images are re-encoded, and you choose how much.
Which images are compressed?
JPEG images and Flate-encoded RGB or grayscale images. Images with unusual color spaces, such as CMYK or indexed palettes, are left as they are.
